Installation of Mozilla version 1.0.0.2002041717 in Windows 98 (although once
installed, Mozilla reports in the title bar as Build ID: 2002041711):
In the Net Installer, changing the "Destination Directory" to a drive other than
the default does not properly refresh the "Directories" path in the installer.
steps:
I saved the Net Installer version of Mozilla 1.0 RC1 in D:\Program
Files\mozilla.org\ and launched the installer.
On the welcome screen, I clicked "Next >"
On the License Agreement screen, I clicked "Accept"
On the Setup Type screen, I clicked "Browse..."
On the Select a directory screen, I selected my d: drive (c: was default selection)
The path shown under "Directories:" was C:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla
instead of D:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla
see screenshot for clarification
expected:
the "Directories:" path to include correct path when a different drive is selected.
workaround:
manually change the path...though people who want to install on a different
drive and don't notice this bug will not have a chance to utilize the
workaround. Hopefully this isn't a difficult bug to fix.

Can this be closed? Is there even a net installer anymore? I haven't installed Seamonkey, so I don't know if it carried over any of the installer code from the Mozilla Suite.

Seamonkey and Firefox are using a new NSIS based installer. resolving this old bug, please reopen if you still get this with the new installer
The net installer is also gone and win98 is not supported anymore :-)
