From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417 BuildID: 2002041711 When downloading this from download.com, mozilla takes too long to start the download, and ends the download suddenly. GetRight (a previous version I was trying to upgrade) handle with no problems, and the download started faster. No multi-sources where enabled for GetRight. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to download.com, search for getright and just try to download it Actual Results: The download starts and it suddenly ends at 4KB or so. Expected Results: Download the complete file I will try some other downloads and tell you if it is with all of them.

Connection refused for me.

It looks like Mozilla's fault, if anyone else can reproduce it, because the download works fine on Internet Explorer. Got up to 300K before I cancelled it.

I've just downloaded 200k of the link before cancelling, in Mozilla. It sounds to me like it's just a dodgy connection/server, nothing is wrong with Mozilla ...

Mozilla 1.0RC1 for Linux correctly detects the file's size and successfully downloads it. Reporter, you say that you use GetRight for downloads but now Mozilla won't download this file for you. Have you tried downloading this or other files using Mozilla's built-in downloading method without any 3rd party tools?

At first I tried downloading the file without GetRight. I had it installed but as it required a plugin to work with Mozilla, Mozilla was handling downloads. That's when the problem came up. At the same time, I could get the file using GetRight explicitely (typing the URL in it, without Mozilla in any way). That's what led me think it was a Mozilla's problem and not server/connection. Now I have already installed the pluging and can't get Mozilla to handle the download. It passes it all the time to GetRight. If I Shift-click a link (to force a browser download) Mozilla gets a redir.htm, but it works ok in IE6.

Perhaps this bug should be in the Plugins component, since this seems to be a GetRight plug-in problem.

Reporter, are you able to reproduce this problem after you clear your disk cache?

I tried to download today from the URL and it worked successfully with 1.3b. I also tried downloading current GetRight 4.5e from download.com and it also worked nicely. Since this is an old report and very fuzzy, I guess may have been related with some early network or protocol error in Mozilla. I suggest to close this and not waste more time.
