Changes introduced in bug 1394777 increased the intermittent rate of browser_UsageTelemetry_content_aboutHome.js 
Problem & solution is discussed in bug 1347693, comment 32 and involves waiting on the default search engine in order to successfully perform a search.

Try looks good for e10s and more importantly non-e10s to fix bug 1347693. Any reason you didn't just put this patch there?
