User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0

Hello,
I have tested this issue on latest Firefox release (55.0.3) and latest Nightly build, using Windows 7 x 64 and could not reproduce it. I have accessed the given website (https://linustechtips.com/), navigated to one topic and clicked on a link that opens in a new tab and worked as expected, the page was correctly displayed.
Can you please retest this using latest Firefox release and latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results ? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause (https://goo.gl/AR5o9d).

This is the behavior I see when the network has been disconnected from my laptop without my having noticed. Is it possible this happened to you?

P3 for investigation.
To the reporter -- Can you retest for us with the latest Nightly? And verify your network connectivity. Thanks.

Considering the fact that I cannot reproduce this issue and the fact that the reporter did not answered to my request until now, I will mark this as Resolved-Worksforme.
If anyone can still reproduce it on latest versions, feel free to reopen the issue and provide more information.
