1399426 - Setting browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked to false ignored

I've been lazy on reporting this. I have browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked set to false. For various reasons I reinstalled Nightly and when I sync'd my data back in my bookmarks menu is full of recently added bookmarks, making it hard to find what I want since I have so many I need to use folders.

Are you referring to the Bookmarks menu in the Library panel? That's only showing recent bookmarks, the bookmarks menu has its own separate button that you must drag on the toolbar from the customization palette.

That's less than intuitive. I guess, consider this feedback then. I just assumed that the bookmarks were folded into the library.

There's a new "bookmarking tools" in the library menu that allows to quickly add/remove the bookmarks menu button.
I'm duping this to the very similar bug 1390507 that also contains some answers from UX.
