In MacOS, when opening a standard HTML select element using the cursor, and when the cursor is in motion immediately before or after clicking the dropdown, the dropdown element behaves as if the user clicked *twice* in immediate sucession. The dropdown opens, then instantly closes with the usual MacOS flash animation.
I've attached a video which attempts to show this. Every interaction with the dropdowns involved just one mouse click, nothing else.
Affects Firefox release 55.0.3, nightly 57.0a1 (2017-09-13), and other versions - I've experienced this in the last few release versions.
