User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0 Build ID: 20170914220209 Firefox for Android Steps to reproduce: Only a single tab (Youtube) on a firefox browser and it takes up a lot of ram. Actual results: The new Firefox literally eat all my ram!! Compare to the Chrome with lots of ram even with youtube tab. Expected results: I remember the good old days when the firefox is still at it best.

I am also having this issue. I disabled all addons as a first check into seeing why the memory is being consumed. All I need to do is open youtube, and then leave it in the background. Not even playing a video, just leaving a youtube tab open kills me after a while. Firefox just starts caching all it can until the ram is saturated. Process tab dosen't even show firefox using a lot of memory but checking the cache in rammap shows a ton of Firefox use. On my 16g system, it was using 11g.

I am on that same version. All updates as well. 4/26/2020. I've had to resort to using chrome for youtube as firefox kills my computer with youtube left on in the background. Even paused or at the selection menu for videos, it will consume ram until death.
