From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417 BuildID: 2002041711 When attempting to view one of the news videos it prompts you to install Real Player - - though I did have it installed I downloaded and re-installed it and it still prompts me to install Real Player Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on ANY news video link 2. 3. Actual Results: Prompts for installation of Real Player Real Player does not set up for Mozilla for some reason Expected Results: News video to view properly though it could be with NECN.com also I've had problems with this site in Netscape at times also - additionally - it doesn't seem to use my NAV when I download a file - FYI
Confirming with WinXP. The RealPlayer is not seen in the about:plugins page. Works just fine after I manually copy nppl3260.dll from the Components folder to the Plugins folder. Something changed in a way we scan folders. Another thing I noticed is that the change in the plugins folder is no longer picked up by reloading about:plugins, I need to restart to see the change.

Right, Real8 is using the xpcom method and consequently the dll gets installed in the components directory and not the plug-ins directory. Once we get the scan problem worked through, this will be resolved. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 133282 ***
