1400776 - Display all download in the Library

At this moment downloads are displayed on two places:
- the download button lists all downloads in progress and downloads finished during the session
- the library shows history of all finished downloads (but not the downloads in progress)

That means there is no place to see all the downloads. I think adding the downloads in progress to the library too would make sense to have an overview of all downloads in the same place. Download button will than become a clear subset of the library.

Also it would allow some user to hide the download button at all if they do not want to have an extra one on the toolbar. In the current state if they do, there is no other place where to see the download progress.

The "Show all downloads" footer should open the Library Window, that lists all the downloads as you describe. Eventually, we want to move this view in a browser tab. Does it address your use case?

Showing only finished downloads in the Downloads Subview in the Library Panel is by design, but it would also be difficult from an implementation standpoint to do otherwise, because we would have to handle the potential transition of in-progress downloads to the blocked state.

If that's by design, than this bug can be resolved as invalid. But in that case, I would appreciate to have an entry at the top of the list to see all download (formulated somehow to make clear it will show a list including the downloads in progress). I am not sure how clear the label could state that and what would be the cost of possible duplication with the footer.

Ok. I'm quite sure we don't want to introduce duplication with the footer, but at some point in the future we may want to evaluate moving all the footers of the Library panels to be normal menu entries as you're suggesting. I'm not sure if that depends on a redesign of the Library window or moving it into a browser tab, though. If you want, feel free to file a new bug about this, it may be useful to have on file even though I don't expect action in the short term.

Maybe having the view from Download button in the Library > Downloads as default, and the list of download history as a Library > Downloads > Downloads history submenu?
