… possibly due to a mix-up with “overlay”. In other places, this menu is referred to in Spanish as “menú de desborde”, a literal translation of “overflow menu”.

Overflow menu is an icon in the toolbar with the shape of two greater than signs, like this: >>. It displays a list of icons and menu items that either have been dragged and dropped there or that overflows from the toolbar. Although I don't like too much "Menú de desborde", currently is the best I can come up with (it gets all the icons that overflow from the toolbar), and it is definitely better than "Menú superpuesto", so I've normalized the translation to the first one. If it’s not too late, may I propose “menú de herramientas adicionales”? This is what the Catalan translation has. Microsoft terminology also gives “contenido adicional” as a translation for “overflow” in this context. On the downside, it’s way longer…
