Right now only a warning is display:
WARNING: Parser error in en-US
It's not helpful. It should display more information, e.g. position and value

Is that information helpful to localizers?
My original intent was to be as opaque about this as I can, to not make people think they need to do something about it.

At this point this kind of error would show up either locally or against quarantine, so I think we should expose as much information. No point in showing the error, and then forcing you to figure out where and what it is.

I'm still strongly optimistic that pontoon will show warnings and errors in the UI, so I disagree on the part where this shows up.
I'd argue that ensuring that en-US mozilla-central works should be a part of or follow-up to bug 1353680.

This bug is about en-US though, I wouldn't expect these errors to show up in Pontoon.
