This has already shipped, right? At least https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/-webkit-text-stroke#Example works for me in Firefox.

Yes, we shipped -webkit-text-stroke back in 48 (Bug 1248708).
(This bug is possibly about using the webrender backend to handle it 🤷)
