Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.113 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Add multiple tracks to a PeerConnection object with bundlingPolicy set to max-bundle. Actual results: ICE candidates are gathered for all the tracks present in a pc. In multistream SFU setup, multiple media tracks can be added to a pc and gathering candidates for every track creates a lot of unnecessary ice candidates. Plus adding all the candidates, sending it to the other endpoint and performing connectivity checks on each candidate has a performance impact too. Expected results: According to the W3C draft, following should be done when bundlingPolicy is set to max-bundle "Gather ICE candidates for only one track. If the remote endpoint is not bundle-aware, negotiate only one media track."

Yes Firefox currently gathers always candidates for the worst case: unbundled without rtpc-mux. In case of the bundlePolicy being set to max-bundle we should be able to only gather a two candidates.
