Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0
Build ID: 20170814072924
Steps to reproduce:
- Download updated LibreOffice. (Was the normal installer, I assume this issue could occur if any download has what do you want to do with this dialog)
- Do not open any new tabs or windows.
- Open Downloads dialog and click on newly downloaded installer
- Run the installation process
- Switch back to Firefox Nightly, Click restart to apply updates button in menu.
Actual results:
- Firefox closed and did not restart.
- Tried to manually open Firefox
- First few attempts resulted in just the dialog box opening.
- After that Firefox icon would show up in system tray but no window would open.
- Hovering over the icon in system tray results in preview of a blank window (no page content visible) with title: "Welcome to Firefox 57", however I am unable to actually display this window.
Expected results:
- Welcome to Firefox tab should open along with LibreOffice download page.
- Dialog for what to do with installer.exe should not open.

This sounds like bug 1403951, which is fixed in the latest Nightly. Try starting the browser in safe mode and either update again from there or change your theme setting; there's a tutorial video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cocIdaY0jAI, this problem was very widespread. After that you should be able to start it normally without safe mode.
