[Steps to reproduce]:
1.Launch Firefox Release 56 with a new profile
2.Ensure that the Pioneer Enrollment and Firefox Pioneer add-ons are uninstalled from about:addons
3.Set the following prefs in about:config
-extensions.pioneer-enrollment-study.updateTimerInterval = 1
-extensions.pioneer-enrollment-study.firstPromptDelay = 1
-extensions.pioneer-enrollment-study.secondPromptDelay = 180000
-extensions.pioneer-enrollment-study.studyEndDelay = 180000
-extensions.pioneer-enrollment-study.studyEnrolledEndDelay = 180000
-extensions.pioneer-enrollment-study.enrollmentState = ‘’ (empty string)
4.Restart Firefox
5.Open about:addons and Click "Install Add-on from file"
6.Click to open "pioneer-enrollment-study-2.0.1.xpi"
7.Wait ~ 30 second 
8.Click "Add" button from addon installer pop-up

[Expected result]:
The add-on should be installed and properly displayed in about:addons extension list

[Actual result]:
The add-on is installed but is not correctly displayed ( please see the attachment)

[Note]:
On Ubuntu 16.04 x64 and Windows 10 x64 the issue is reproducible only for few seconds (flicker) and then the pioneer addon is correctly displayed
Tested with "Ad Block" addon with the same STR and could not reproduce it.

Ubuntu and Windows, you can see the same issue as above for a second but doesn't persist. (just like a flicker)

aswan told me via IRC that the behavior in the screenshot is a known bug, but I can't find the bug in question. 

aswan: When you have the time, would you mark this bug as a duplicate of the bug you were referring to?

Whoops, sorry this slipped through the cracks.  I think you're looking for bug 1194927.
