Bug 1404926 asks for help boosting the new Firefox logo's prominence in search. Right now, a Google en-US search for "Firefox" brings up a Knowledge Panel to the right of search results that has the old logo in it. Google's docs[0] suggest we can manipulate this by marking up Firefox logos on key firefox pages with schema.org microdata[1]. Suggest we do so anywhere in /firefox/ that includes a logo; in particular, on /firefox/ and /firefox/new/. [0] https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/logo [1] http://schema.org/logo

For record, we do already have schema.org markup embedded in /firefox/new/ [1], which does include a link to the new logo (now that Quantum has launched) We could add this to more pages on mozorg, such as /firefox/, but I'm not 100% certain this is going to the tangiable results we seek for this bug. The embedded logo seems to come from the www.brandsoftheworld.com site [2]. Quite why google is using this as a source of reference I'm not sure, but by visiting the link in question it looks like the logo can be reported as obselete. Perhaps uploading a newer version may be worth trying? I sent feedback to Google about this (see attached) and encourage others to do the same. I think adding microdata to /firefox/ would be worthwhile since Google often considers that to be the official brand page for Firefox.

I meant you can also actually report the logo as obsolete on https://www.brandsoftheworld.com/. This may have a more immediate effect, just something worth trying? I can certainly add the microdata to /firefox/ if we think that's worth doing.
