All blogs under blog.mozilla.org should be on the latest UI. Examples for outdated blogs: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/ (previous) https://blog.mozilla.org/tanvi/ (ancient) Especially the ancient version has next to the outdated design (logo, colors, etc.), problems with outdated links. I guess a follow up bug could involve creating a blog infrastructure "to rule them all" ;)

Hey Albert, Sorry for the slow response on our part, this bug entered into an un-tracked queue. We've addressed that issue. Moving forward, we'll prioritize this work and get some Orc's on it when we can :P If you need anything in the meantime, you can need info me on this bug.
Hahaha! Thanks Daniel!

We have about 80 active blogs that are largely independent from each other, so this is partly up to individual blog owners. Some folks really don't like the new theme and would object to us forcing it upon them, and that theme as it is might not be appropriate for every blog anyway. I don't think we'll ever switch EVERY blog to a single theme, but a lot are definitely in dire need of an update. Many blogs are still using the old One Mozilla theme, which is totally off brand now. I've made some gradual progress on bug 1338672 with the intent to give that theme a light redesign without radically changing the layout or functionality, so any blogs currently using the One Mozilla theme would be rebranded in one fell swoop without any other impact on how they work. That project just keeps getting put on the back burner for other priorities. I hope to finish it in the near future. That design gets more and more outdated with every passing day.
Thank you for providing some insight into the planned work, Craig. Albert, I hope that gives you a little information about what's going on. At this point in time, I think it's appropriate to close this bug and we can watch for additional update in the bug that Craig cited above. If you have any additional questions, go ahead and set the need info flag for me on this bug and re-open it.

> Albert, I hope that gives you a little information about what's going on. Yeap, it does. Thanks guys. > Some folks really don't like the new theme and would object to us forcing it upon them Fair point Craig. Is this the One Mozilla theme? https://blog.mozilla.org/tanvi/category/security/ This theme would IMO opinion need the updates you pointed out in bug 1338672; logo(s), colors, fonts These two blogs might be candidates for the new theme. What are there theme names? https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/ https://blog.mozilla.org/press/ Do you want me to file a new bug for 'addons'? There is already one for 'press' I just found, which blocks bug 1359134. Should that be the meta bug used for blogs or is there a better one?

(In reply to Albert Scheiner [:alberts] from comment #5) > Fair point Craig. Is this the One Mozilla theme? > https://blog.mozilla.org/tanvi/category/security/ That is an even OLDER theme called Nova, from around 2009. I should reach out to Tanvi about changing it. > These two blogs might be candidates for the new theme. What are there theme > names? > https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/ > https://blog.mozilla.org/press/ These are using the One Mozilla theme that will be getting the brand refresh. I don't think we need separate bugs for every blog running that theme, they'll all get the update at once. The most up-to-date theme is called Frontierline and it's the one you see on the main blog (https://blog.mozilla.org) and several others. We can give blog owners the option of switching to that theme as well, but that's the one some people don't like. It's more image-focused and forces the front page to show excerpts, but some folks really like showing a stream of full posts on their front page. I've also wanted to build an optional full-post stream view into Frontierline to address that preference, but who knows if I'll ever get around to it :)

Thanks for all the insights Craig. Looking forward to the update :)
