User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: 1) Install latest Firefox 57 beta (57.0b5). 2) Load any web page (for example ebay.com) 3) Launch UI Automation Inspect tool (https://msdn.microsoft.com/ru-ru/library/windows/desktop/dd318521%28v=vs.85%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396) 4) Try to find any element on loaded page (for example search combo box on ebay.com) Actual results: Nothing will be found on Windows 7. There is no element with ControlType UIA_GroupControlTypeId in tree which contains all page elements on Windows 8.1 for example. Expected results: Selected element should be shown in Inspect tool. Works totally fine on Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.

[Ran across this bug when searching bugzilla for UIAutomation in relation to bug 1876192]
I think UIAutomation issues belong in the a11y component --> reclassifying.
However, also: given that this was Win7-specific per comment 0 ("Nothing will be found on Windows 7 [...] Works totally fine on Windows 8.1 or Windows 10"), I think we can consider this WONTFIX at this point, since Firefox doesn't support Windows 7 anymore (beyond uplifting security/stability fixes to ESR115).
See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-windows-7-8-and-81-moving-extended-support
(It's also possible this became fixed at some point between Firefox 57 and Firefox 115; if anyone knows that to be the case, feel free to update the resolution to fixed or duplicate or whatever's appropriate.)
