User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: 1. Copied a bunch of text from russian wiki 2. Created new mail to myself, inserted that text to the body 3. Collapesed main window and sent this email Actual results: Then I opened mail from notification and was not able to read it dues to encoding problem (see screenshot) Expected results: -
Which encoding does the message use? Since Wikipedia copied-text doesn't contain any private information, you could easily attach the message here ("Attach File"). Save/drag it to a folder or the desktop as an .eml file and attach that file. Maybe edit the file with a text editor to obfuscate your e-mail address and name. I've tried and a UTF-8-encoded message looks fine when opened via the notification.
Attached file eml
another message, I've removed the part which seems to me private (some hashsums or smth).
Here is the screenshot that shows that encoding is recognized as utf8, but is not rendered. If i switch tab to main and then back again - I get the correct rendering
I've forgot to mention, I use GNotifier on both Linux and Windows, cause they support native notifications. Thunderbord notification system opens messages in the main window, but has this bug too. E.g I've forwarded message to myself and in the viewer there was eml opened as a plain text
Attachment #8916766 - Attachment mime type: message/rfc822 → text/plain
(In reply to Yan Pas from comment #3) > If i switch tab to main and then back again - I get the > correct rendering Yes, then it's a well-known timing problem.
