Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13) AppleWebKit/604.1.38 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/11.0 Safari/604.1.38
Steps to reproduce:
Put phone into Airplane mode (disconnect from the Internet)
Long press the Home button to bring up the stand-alone Firefox Search app
Try a search
Search fails with "No internet connection, Tap here to ..."
Turn off Airplane mode (re-connect to the Internet)
Wait for connection to re-establish
Long press the Home button to bring up the stand-alone Search app
Try a search
Search still fails with "No internet connection, Tap here to ..."
Actual results:
Stand-alone Firefox Search app does not recognise re-connection to the Internet after disconnection. I have to kill and restart the stand alone search app to get it working again. This is a nuisance particularly when using mobile data in poor coverage areas.
Expected results:
Stand-alone Firefox Search app should correctly handle disconnection from and then re-connection to the Internet.
