User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 7.0; Mobile; rv:58.0) Gecko/58.0 Firefox/58.0 Build ID: 20171008131653 Steps to reproduce: Visited about:config. Actual results: URL bar did not show that I was in about:config. Instead it didn't update itself. Expected results: Works in desktop, not in Mobile.

The problem occurs when your first visit about:config. If you return to about:config by the BACK button, then it will finally show up in the URL bar.

I tried - opening a new tab, entering "about:config" and hitting enter, as well as - taking an existing tab with some page open, entering "about:config" and hitting enter. In both cases, the address in the URL bar updated just fine.

By the way I entered the first few letters of about calling config into the URL bar but even though it was expanded upon RET it all disappeared as if I didn't type anything. .,

Hmm, so in your case not just about:config specifically, but other about: pages as well.
Summary: About:config does not show up in the URL bar in Mobile → About: pages does not show up in the URL bar in Mobile

Yes. Today I tested it some more. I have a shortcut on my Android 7.0 Asus home screen. It calls Firefox on http://m.jidanni.org/?C=M;O=D Then if I type any of the about links I go to the link but the URL bar does not change. So maybe it has something to do with me using the shortcut from the home launcher page.

Device: - Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (Android 7.0) Hello, I can reproduce the issue, STR: 1. Add any page to the homescreen; 2. Open Fennec from the newly created homescreen; 3. Go to any about page. Expected: The title shows what about: page you are visiting. Actual: The title shows the link for the page opened from the homescreen.

Too late in the cycle to consider this for uplift to 57 IMO. Feel free to set the status back to affected and nominate it if you feel strongly otherwise, however.
