Go to the nasdaq site and look for the Global Markets heading on the left hand
side. There is a pulldown list beneath that heading inviting you to pick a
global area. The first time you select something, it appears to work. The second
and succeeding times (after the new page from the first has arrived) do not. I
first saw this on my account on Morningstar's site and it is has more or less
spiked my use of RC1 for viewing my account there.
WFM, XP, 2002042803.
On sucessive pages, you have to click the GO button in addition, which seems to
be the way the page is intended to be used. (Comparing to MSIE6)

Yes, but the site on Morningstar, which I cannot give you because it has
my personal information, has no such go button. I was only trying to find
something that gave a similar response. There always was something
peculiar about that page on Morningstar. Anyhow, it works fine with
Mozilla 0.9, yet does not with RC1.
In order to get a similar page, you can go to Morningstar and begin a new
account, it costs nothing. Then create two portfolios, one a Quick
portfolio and one a transaction portfolio. It doesn't matter which stocks
you stick in them, you aren't actually buying the stocks. When you are at
the page that shows you one portfolio, you will see a dropdown list
labelled Portfolios. There's no go button. When I select between my
portfolios in the list, Mozilla is failing to retrieve the new page.

Gerard, would you possibly be able to save the morningstar site as "web page,
complete", remove any information that you do not want the world to see and
attach it to this bug?
If you're not willing to do this, someone will go through creating that
morningstar account at some point, but it'll take a while...

This is the "save web page complete" result (gzipped tarball) of the offending
page. I don't think it will show the operation that is failing, but it will at
least show the beginning state.
Again, the Portfolio drop down list appears to fail causing a request for a new
page to get sent.

This bug is still present in RC2.

Gerard, could you also attach the same page saved as "HTML only"?
I just looked at the source and those <select> elements are attempting to call
onchange functions which simply do not exist...

I have four different "portfolios", this is the page of one of them. My
previous attachement (if I recall correctly) was of another one of them. They
are all laid out similarly, and it is the same offending pulldown menu that
fails to call up a new page.

A small additional comment, this bug was not present in all of the Mozilla Navs
I've tried up through 0.9.9. The bug first appeared in 1.0 RC1 and appears also
in 1.0 RC2.

Note that when accessing the HTML Source attachment several JavaScript errors
are generated on the JS Console.
This may be Evangelism.

This bug is not present in RC3, at least the pic list works. The page may still
be generating Javascript errors.
