Build ID: 20171009192146
Steps to reproduce:
This is an issue with both 56 and 57 versions. Go to a page like msn.com and the memory and cpu usage climb. The cpu usage goes up and down between 20% and 50%. This is running on a Windows 7 64bit machine.
Actual results:
See screen shots.
Expected results:
Lower memory usage.

Can you use the gecko profiler to get some profiling information off 56 to figure out where we're spending time? ( https://perf-html.io/ - install the add-on, start capturing when the browser is struggling to keep up and/or using a lot of CPU, and eventually 'share' the profile to create a link that you can copy-paste into a comment here)
Do you have any legacy add-ons installed? These can have a negative effect on performance. Do you see the same poor performance if you use help > restart with add-ons disabled?

Please reopen if you're able to provide a performance profile.
