User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0
Build ID: 20171003170937

Steps to reproduce:

Visit a web site. Drag the address in the URL bar (or a link on the web page) to the desktop/file system. This creates a file "Link to (web site...). Now drag that created file/link back into the browser.

Actual results:

It's not loading the page correctly. The URL bar refers to the site as "file://filesystemlocation/linkname.desktop", none of the images load, and all of the links within the page are pointing to "file:///..." locations.

Expected results:

It should have opened the web page, the same as if I had opened it from a bookmark. This only started happening when Firefox was upgraded to version 56. Prior versions worked as expected. I'm running Linux Mint 17. Bug report MAY be related, but things work as expected on my Windows 7 system running Firefox 56.0.1.
