See: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1325271#c16 Upon disconnecting from Sync, many users believe that their data will delete from the browser. I think we have 3 options to make the experience better (and more private) without making any big changes to Sync: 1) we display a warning about this and perhaps as a phase 1, we link to Preferences where they can pick what they would like to delete. 2) or, we link to a SUMO article that explains how to do it. 3) or, perhaps we offer to delete History, passwords, form data and all the rest (?) from the device.
