Details
This has been sitting in my mind for a while, but this is a bit annoying.
STR:
1. Open a video (YouTube, Google Drive, anything should do it)
2. Make sure autoplay is disabled
3. Click on the big "Play" arrow/button in the middle of the video
Expected:
Video playback starts
Actual:
Nothing starts. I have to click the "Play" button in the bottom left, in the control area of the video.

It has been brought to my attention that some website may handle disabled autoplay incorrectly. I verified on YouTube, and I can confirm this behavior with autoplay disabled:
(1) video controls shows the expected status of a playing video (i.e. a "pause" button), which is disturbing because in fact playback has been blocked by autoplay
(2) clicking on the "pause" button (in controls) changes it to "play", but no change in playback (which is consistent)
(3) clicking again on the "play" button (in controls) changes it to "pause", and starts playback
Going through steps (1) to (3) but clicking the big red-backgrounded "Play" arrow in the middle of the video:
- DOES change the state of the video controls
- DOES NOT change the playback state
So after several clicks, we are still in the state where video controls are in "playback mode" (i.e. "pause" button is visible), but there is no playback.
