As expected, I can't reproduce on Windows 10. Looking at other reports, it looks like this signature has been around for a long time now (since 36): https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/signature/?product=Firefox&signature=shutdownhang%20%7C%20libpthread-2.19.so%400xad4a&date=%3E%3D2017-10-17T00%3A31%3A00.000Z&date=%3C2017-10-24T00%3A31%3A00.000Z&_columns=date&_columns=product&_columns=version&_columns=build_id&_columns=platform&_columns=reason&_columns=address&_columns=install_time&_sort=-date&page=1#reports One of the reports seems to have VR hardware (or at least a VR codepath) - could that be related? https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/26c551b6-cdb9-45f4-9752-009b90171018

Hi Andrew! I don't have any VR hardware installed on that machine.

Ok, thanks. Does this reproduce on other machines? I see Ubuntu 14.04 is supported by Canonical into 2019 ... Does this happen with the Ubuntu PPA builds or just builds from Mozilla?

I can reproduce this issue with other Ubuntu 14.04 32bit machines as well. I have a hard time trying to run the PPA builds (I keep encountering the "cannot execute run-mozilla.sh" error). So I kinda need some small guidance on how can I get those builds up and running. Thanks

(In reply to Emil Ghitta, QA [:emilghitta] from comment #4) > I can reproduce this issue with other Ubuntu 14.04 32bit machines as well. Can you make it happen in a VM of that OS, too? Thanks for verifying it happens on multiple machines. Ignore my red herring PPA question for now (sorry) :)

Is there any chance you can get one of us access to a machine that reproduces this? It seems like it'll take less time than me finding a machine to install this on :)

In hindsight, given volumes here and the fact that this is only reproducible on 32-bit Ubuntu 14.04 *and* it looks like at least some of the reports are coming from Canonical's builds, I'm going to say we shouldn't spend more time here (including you going to the trouble of getting remote access for me). Let's watch and if the number of reports spikes, we can pick this up again. Thank you, Emil!

Hi Wayne,
I can't reproduce this issue anymore using Firefox 74.0a1 and an old Firefox 65.0.2 on Ubuntu 14.04 32bit.
Marking this as WORKSFORME.
Sorry for the late response.
