Hi Ángela! Could someone in your team please take a look at this? Deadline is Oct 29 :)
thanks!
Flags: needinfo?(avelper)
Hello! Thanks for the ping.
I saw a few things that could be improved. Could you please let me know where the original strings are? I refer specially to the screenshots from Google Drive; Google Play looks good so far (there could also be some changes, but nothing serious).
Many thanks!
Regards,
Ángela.

Is that Android's UI or web content displayed in the screenshots?
Firefox for Android is here: https://pontoon.mozilla.org/es-ES/firefox-for-android/
The content is mozilla.org and AMO, still on Pontoon.
Ok, thanks!
I will take a look, try to find those that could be improved, change them and let you know once it's done so you can update.
Cheers,
Ángela.

Thanks! Just want to let you know though that because of all teams being very busy with Quantum launch right now - and the screenshots work being a very manual process - Mike says he can only update the screenshots if they have glaring errors (so he won't be updating for "improvements").
It's still great that you're making them though, because they'll be incorporated for the product and for further screenshots.
(oh and flod, I believe Mike mentioned it was Android UI at one point, in one of these bugs)
Great, thanks for letting me know!
I saw something that it was a "major" mistake, specially the verb "Donate", that it should be "Donar" and it appears as "Dona" in the screenshot.
Once I take a deep look at all those, I will update them but I will also point out which ones are "real changes" and which ones "improvements".
Thanks!

Cool thanks! (please ignore my comment about Android UI part, I totally misunderstood what we were talking about...:/)
Hello!
I updated a few strings on Pontoon for Firefox for Android.
Dona = Donar
Pestaña nueva = Nueva pestaña
Pestaña privada nueva = Nueva pestaña privada
Protección contra rastreo = Protección contra el rastreo
Those are the big changes. If you could please update them, that would be great!
Let me know if I can do something else.
Regards,
Ángela.

Hi Angela,
I'll give feedback about the "dona" part, however the rest I don't think qualifies for an update this time, unfortunately.
I'll push so they get in next time though!
thanks a lot for your hard work on the strings :)

Actually Angela, I've just double checked the screenshots, and I'm not really sure that would qualify as a glaring error. It's on the very top of the page in a smaller title, and "dona" is the "imperativo" of "donar". So it still makes sense, although it's not consistent with the rest.
I'm sorry but given marketing requirements at this point (and time constraints), let's get an update for this in the next set of screenshots. Sorry!!
(closing bug, please reopen if there's anything else)

Angela, just for giving historic context, these strings come from long time ago and Firefox Desktop. They were on a submenu for the File menu option Open (so it was Open -> New tab, Open -> New Private Tab, translated as Abrir -> Pestaña nueva, Abrir -> Pestaña privada nueva), and an effort was made to keep the usual construction (noun + adjective, instead of adjective + noun) in Spanish.
There is no Open menu in Firefox for Android, so it may sound better to exchange the order. Still, try to be careful when doing this kind of changes because it may impact in a lot of different places. I'm thinking, for instance, in SUMO documents, which should be updated accordingly.
> Protección contra rastreo = Protección contra el rastreo
Please, undo this change. "Tracking protection" has been consistently translated across all Mozilla products in es-ES as "Protección contra rastreo":
https://transvision.mozfr.org/?recherche=Tracking+Protection&repo=gecko_strings&sourcelocale=en-US&locale=es-ES&search_type=strings
If you really think we need to add the article, discuss it in the NAVE mailing list, and let's get sure we add the term to either our glossary (http://www.proyectonave.es/glosario) or the one in Mozilla Hispano (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1O4ness8IMhXg7-9U8b7zDPflnlyDeGl03Yp-WgyoVw8/edit?hl=es&hl=es#gid=6).
