Details

Attaching files that reside in a Unix file system does not work. The attachment
window shows a url-like entry "file://///Users/michael/Desktop/yang_mills.pdf".
The message cannot be sent nor saved.

Attaching a file from a HFS+ partition works fine.

Michael, what type of filesystem? UFS? NFS?
OS X boots from UFS. Mozilla runs from HFS+ (it will not work from UFS). User
files live on UFS.
There are fundamental problems with Mozilla and UFS.
