Steps to reproduce:

I received an email in Thunderbird that happened to have a very long subject. (In this case: It was a YouTube notification stating that someone replied on a long message on YouTube. Of this notification, the whole message was included in the email's subject)

Actual results:

When selecting this email, the whole subject was shown, making it impossible to view or interact with the actual email body.

Expected results:

The subject should have collapsed somehow, for instance by giving it a maximum height and adding a scrollbar. Or alternatively, a scrollbar could be added to the 'meta' section as a whole.

In any case, I would expect the body of the email to still be visible.

I would like to comment that Bug 77806 was not in the list of "possible duplicates" because of the different wording in the title. Glad that you were able to find it in the system! :-)
