Highlighting cuts off edges of italicized text on macOS

When unhighlighted, italicized text next to unitalicized text will render normally; however, when highlighted, the diagonal edges of the italicized text are cut off.
For example, if I go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ithkuil and highlight "a priori philosophical and logical language," the top parts of the "l"s in "philosophical" and "logical" are cut off.
Tested on macOS.
