No 'Re[4]' part in the subjects like 'Re: Re[4]'

Also 'Re[6]: ....' is converted to 'Re: ....'.
It seems [digit] part is stripped from subject.
BTW there is right subject in the 4 line mail headers for message body.
Is this a recent problem or has it always existed? There have been some changes
to the Re: parsing code, but I believe this is something we do on purpose.
I see this using Netscape 4.78 and 6.2.
yes, I think we're doing this on purpose to clean up the headers.
