User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 7.0; Mobile; rv:58.0) Gecko/58.0 Firefox/58.0
Build ID: 20171025230617
Steps to reproduce:
In settings there is a button called clear private data.
Actual results:
One cannot tell it if pushing it will just zap all our private data, or will it give us some choices to pick from. Therefore we will never dare to press it and find out. One would expect a three dots or an arrow, to indicate further dialogue. Currently it is ambiguous if there is further dialogue or not so nobody dares to push it and find out.
Expected results:
If there is no further dialogue then you should put a little warning underneath it saying that pushing it will zap everything.

Summary: Clear private data in settings worrisome → "Clear private data" doesn't hint that it'll show a dialogue to choose which data to delete

After users press "Clear private data" in settings, we will show a dialog and list the specific items can be cleared, so users can carefully select which data they would like to clear.
So, I am wondering what's the pain point from the user? Can we have more elaboration of this bug?
Thanks

The point is:
users don't know there will be that additional dialog.
Therefore you need to use:
Clear private data...
or
Clear private data >
or some other hint that there was more to come,
to distinguish it from other menu items that do not have further dialogues but instead just produce immediate results.
Else the user dares not push it to find out if one can select just part of their private data that they wanted to clear out, at the risk that... it does what its label says, and voosh, clears out all their private data!
One might say "well in that case the label would be 'clear all private data'.
But still the user would have nobody to blame if he pushed a button that said 'Clear private data' and that is indeed what it did, no questions asked.

Got your point. But this is current design. We will review all the wording in the future and consider what you suggest.
Thank you
