In the attached screenshot, the already-known site icon for this site is not used for the first autocomplete entry directing users to this site. Nightly (2017-10-27)

likely we don't have an icon for that, because you didn't directly visit that, you probably visited a document part of that domain, but not the root. I suggested some time ago to always store the root favicon along with the others, but it would be a slightly high cost for a small benefit (in the past we had other UIs showing domains, like about:permissions that in the meanwhile have been removed).
