While watching video on a Dutch site called rtl.nl, a few commercial blocks interrupted the main program. When a commercial happened, it seemed to play its video off-screen somehow: the video viewport remained static on a still from the main program, while the audio from the commercial played out.

For example, try https://www.rtl.nl/video/677c2047-a064-3faa-cda8-3bcb2d1677fe/. It starts with a commercial for me, which is not visible when playing in full-screen.

I quickly checked two older builds, but I see the same behavior on 2017-08-01, while on 2017-04-01 the video does not seem to play at all ("too many errors").

I'm having trouble accessing this site reliably from New Zealand. Chrome doesn't implement the Full Screen spec correctly so the site may be relying on that. Can you see if this issue is reproducible on Edge?

Nope, I don't really have Windows machines to test on.

I was watching some video on the same site earlier today, and it didn't seem to work at all in Firefox. I ended up having to watch it in Chrome instead (the particular program started with an ad).

It is unusable on Firefox, Chrome and Safari for me because the video is shifted 2/3rds down the video frame and cropped off at the bottom. The playback doesn't start on Firefox for me either.

Disabling Tracking Protection in Firefox helped get past the adverts. Playback is equally broken in all browsers for me.

I tried my windows laptop and can only see the commercial which is shifted one 3rd down the video frame following. After that commercial, I only see a spinner. This problem can be seen on Firefox nightly (58.0a1 (2017-11-06) (64 bit)), Chrome(61.0.316. 3.100). And Edge keeps reloading the webpage. I failed to see any videos.
