Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3163.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: just joined bugzilla website and I can't hide my email? Why? I googled, looked through bugzilla forums, tried finding an anon forwarding service (couldn't find), and FAQ. Expected results: I should be able to hide my email...why can't I?

You can't because bug 218917 is only resolved in Bugzilla version 6. And the "bugzilla website" (whatever that is) does not run version 6 yet.

Assuming you mean this Bugzilla instance, bugzilla.mozilla.org (aka BMO), it does not have the username feature from bug 218917 (that will be re-implemented in another way for this site at some point). Note that when you create an account here, you are warned about this: "Bugzilla is a public place. Your comments and other activities on bugs will generally be publicly visible, and your email address will be accessible through public APIs and will be visible to all logged-in users of Bugzilla. Some people use an alternative email address for this reason. See Mozilla's Websites, Communications & Cookies Privacy Notice for more information on our privacy policies." If you wish, you may request that your account be disabled and your email removed from your user account by filing a bug under bugzilla.mozilla.org :: Administration.
