Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 SeaMonkey/2.49.1
Build ID: 20171016030418
Steps to reproduce:
log in to a site e.g. this one - bugzilla.mozilla.org
click on tools-password manager-log out
Actual results:
nothing
Expected results:
seamonkey should've logged out of my account.
As I understand, there is no common login protocol - some sites use cookies with no common naming convention, some add session id to URL, so making logout work in all circumstances may be tricky, but having a non-working logout is confusing and insecure. Perhaps it should be removed?

For me that never worked, I tested back to SM 2.19.
a) I haven't a clue for what that menu item is. @reporter, can you site Help chapter
or similar?
b) No visible reaction in Browser, Mail, CZ, HTML Composer(!), ...
c) <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=dorem&remaction=run&namedcmd=DUPs1413813&sharer_id=41036> shows some possible DUPs,

As far as I see it this only works on sites using http authentication. Just tested with a private site and it works in 2.49.2. After log out I get a new prompt.
I would either close this as worksforme or just do a documentation update.

I haven't a clue what "http auth." might be, even not after (quickly) having read <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Authentication>
Do we have an example URL to demonstrate where that this function works?

I tried <https://postman-echo.com/basic-auth>
Username: postman
Password: password
ˋTools → Password Manager → log outˊ seems to work fine:
11. After having logged in do ˋRightclick → Reloadˊ several times
» Always "authenticated: true" :-)
12. Menu ˋTools → Password Manager → log outˊ
» no visible reaction
13. ˋRightclick → Reloadˊ
Authentication input pane appears :-)
So it seems to work fine.
