In Gecko/20020424 (or somewhere around there) I would get the talkback dialog boxs. In Gecko/20020430 Freezes completely Wish I knew how to write code. Have a nice day.
Confirming a freeze/hang: 99% CPU and freeze when loading the url in 2002043010, XP.
Summary: Crashes / Freezes browser → Crashes / Freezes browser - 99% CPU
Reporter: Did you submit talkbacks about the previous crash at the site?
Testing with a Linux CVS build from the 29th: no crash or permanent freeze/hang. The site is a mess of redirects, popup windows and even a download prompt. The throbber pauses slightly before the circus begins.
No freeze on linux w/2002043021 - just a slight pause again, before 3-4 other windows start populating
Yes I did submit a talkback with Gecko/20020424 at ~21:30(2002-04-30).
..do you happen to have the Talkback ID as well? (Alternatively: Did you fill in your current email address there?)
Hmm. Testing again with a later build, 2002050108 on XP: No freeze. Page loads somewhat slow, but no hang at any point.
hmmm. weird. I discovered i was going through my ISP's proxy, so tried again - without it. (I am then sendt through a "transparent proxy") And now i got a 99%CPU hang again. But after having let it hang for some minutes, then Norton AV suddenly reported an infection in a temp file. (W32.Nimda.A@mm) Not sure how reliable that is - i wonder if it reacts to sites serving wav-files in iframes as such - regardless of whether they are viruses or not. However: In the previous test, when going through the "normal" proxy, i got no download prompt at all (like i did on Linux). In the second test here, i never got as far as to see a download prompt before i terminated the process.
Ok, I rebooted and I was able to completely load both pages once. When I hit reload, crash. And both pages will crash unless I reboot again.
confirming with win2k build 20020501.. i got a hang with my opt build and a crash with my debug.. -> Layout
