str: 1. sign in to mozillians with an account that doesn't already exist (in my case it was my moco ldap account) 2. read the page that says "you are just one step away from creating your profile" 3. do not click on the "create profile" button 4. close the tab expected: the wording states that the account hasn't yet been created. closing the tab at this point shouldn't create the account. actual: looks like the account is created *before* that page is display. -- this was a problem for me because i couldn't remember what account i used to log into mozillians; i guessed my primary ldap account first, and was wrong. i expected by not clicking on "create profile" that i could then instead add my primary ldap account as an identity to my existing account. this was not the case - i was informed that the account already existed. i worked around this by completing the account creation process, then immediately deleting the account.
Tasos/Nemo, can you please have a look at this?
Hi :glob, Thanks for filing this bug! As a short term solution, we updated the wording in the template to indicate that it's about completing the registration process for the new profile. For the near future, we are already working on improving the UX of mozillians.org and the registration page will definitely be part of that process. Regarding your account, is the LDAP login working for your existing profile?
(In reply to Tasos Katsoulas [:tasos] from comment #2) > Regarding your account, is the LDAP login working for your existing profile? ldap login is working for my existing profile.
Since LDAP is working and we already updated the wording I am closing the bug for now. Thanks :glob!
