I tried a couple of iterations, but here's the one the always works: - Have Apple Quicktime 5.02 installed so that it shows up as a plugin. - Start Moz from a clean startup (exit out of quick launch and re-run moz) - go to about:plugins - click on the QuickTime link on the page. - the page shuts down Mozilla completely This will shut down all windows and will exit out of Quick Launch.

works for me, using WinXP, mozilla trunk build from 1st mai (2002050108) and QT 5.0.2. No problem at all. Maybe a corrupted profile ?

it works fine on win98 as well. Reporter: you may want to try using a new profile and see if you crash, also what build are you using?
I created a default profile with (2002050108) and QT 5.0.2 and still the same thing. It seems to crash when it tries to load the bottom right hand QT menu on the quicktime homepage. The browser does a "kill_all" type of exit, very smooth and no errors. I've tried this from work behind a firewall and home (dial-up). Here's the list of plugins in my directory: Default Plug-in Shockwave 8.5 Flash 5.0 r41 Adobe Acrobat Plug-in Version 5.00 for Netscape Quicktime Plug-in 5.0.2 Hope this helps.
Just a follow up with more information to see if this helps: - If I manually go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/ it works fine from a cold start or if I've used the browser for a while, it only closes after I go from a cold start from the plugin page - I've reinstalled the standalone version again and this is still happening, with the standalone version I do a custom and select all install since I have a registered Pro version of QT.
Weird, it works now, here's what I've done since then: - Re-Installed QT (still didn't work) - Installed Flash 6.0.29.0 plugin (vs the 5r41 that I had installed, still didn't work) - Uninstalled Moz (left Plugins directory as is) - Installed the 030508 build - Cleared Cached several times (had already tried this though) - Flipped Cookie Security settings a couple of times doing testing (no sure if this has any bearing but just figured I would document it) - Then tried it again and now it works. Must have a been a lingering issue with an older install.... I'll make sure to uninstall and reinstall before submitting future bugs, sorry.
