TPS is great for end-to-end testing on Desktop Sync. No equivalent exists for Android's sync, and it's missed. (I suspect some of these recent password issues would be easier to diagnose if we had a TPS for Android). It would also make it easier to figure out if/how corruption is introduced in first-sync cases, which is something I definitely saw recently) This is not trivial, but it might not be *that* bad in order to get something that is roughly functional. I don't think we could reuse any of desktop TPS aside from *maybe* the python driver, but I could be wrong (I don't think so though).
