Steps to reproduce:

1. drag&drop files from Windows explorer to mail composition window
2. drag&drop attachments form mail display window to Windows explorer


Actual results:

1. doesn't work
2. only the first selected attachment is copied, only a single attachment can be copied by drag&drop


Expected results:

1. should work
2. all selected attachments should be copied

Did this work in previous versions?

I implemented it for the url drag and drop in the tab browser because there it also didn't work. Might be the same here.

1. ist NOT reproducible with unzipped installer of  official en-US SeaMonkey 2.53a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 Build 20170706013410  (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit.
Also NOT reproducible with Installation of official DE SeaMonkey 2.49.1  (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build 20171016030418  (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit

So I limit this one to 
2. drag&drop attachments form mail display window to Windows explorer:

11. Open arbitrary Folder in WIN files explorer → Open SM Email Client
12. in SM Email Client ˋrightclick arbitrary email with (.jpg) attachment → Edit as new ... ˊ
   » Composition window opens
13. Arrange SM Composition Window and WIN files explorer window side by side for drag & drop
14. Click 1 .jpg in Attachments Pane → drag & drop to  WIN files explorer window
    Expected: As soon as attachment starts to move mouse pointer gets additional empty 
              rectangle symbol for "drag & drop", successful drag & drop
    Actual: attachment does not move, no mouse pointer change, drag & drop fails
15. Click 1 .jpg in Attachments Pane → ctrl + drag & drop (for copy-drag&drop) to  
    WIN files explorer window
    Expected: As soon as attachment starts to move mouse pointer gets additional  
              rectangle with "+" in it  symbol for "copy - drag & drop", 
              successful copy - drag & drop
    Actual: attachment does not move, no mouse pointer change, copy drag & drop fails

a) steps 11 ... 15 work as expected with Thunderbird Daily 56.0a1 (2017-07-30) (64-bit)
b) possibly related from DUPs query <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=dorem&remaction=run&namedcmd=DUPs1416050&sharer_id=41036>:
   "Bug 605610 - Drag-and-drop of mail or attachments to desktop fails"
   and may be additional ones.

For problem with drag&drop files from Windows explorer to mail composition window please open a new bug if you still can reproduce the problem if you can contribute a step by step instruction how other users can reproduce the problem reliably due to <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines>  (containing every key press and every mouse click).
