We intended to divide our new users into 2 (or was it 3?) groups via Switchboard (?) so that we could learn and measure how each of the onboarding experiences performed. But I just found out that we have yet to make a decision on "the winner" here and users are still being split into different onboarding cohorts. By now we should have enough data to make a call, and we should definitely do that because at this point we are also unintentionally running an experiment without a deadline in mind. NI Joe :D

didn't know we have such experiment. in 2 days, starting with 57, we will no longer have different onboarding flows. There's only 1 onboarding flow starting in 57. we could look at the data to see if there's anything valuable that we can use to improve the onboarding experience beyond 57.

Hey Joe, so that everyone else is aware, do you mind linking to the 57 First Run UX here? Jennifer Davidson has done a lot of research and testing for the two current First Run experiences that I'm talking about in this bug. So it will be helpful to gain some more context. Given the amount of time this experiment has been running, I bet there's also a not-small-amount of data we could pull up to help us improve our overall First Run experiences everywhere too. Even if not for 57, 58., or 59, we can probably make use of this knowledge in the future when we want to tackle First Run improvements on Mobile.

I do, check out the spec here: https://mozilla.invisionapp.com/share/63CXAYN5K Agree with Anthony, the data we collected from the switchboard experiment, Jennifer's search, as well as the following Leanplum tests, will be great inputs for the following onboarding plan. But I guess it also depends on the resource and roadmap we have for the Fennec Android project.
