Usually when I am reading a Newsgroup. If I accept, it crashes Sea Monkey Actual results: Sea Monkey crashes Expected results: Folders should be compacted without a crash
It has just happened again twice. 2.48 is outdated. Please try 2.49.1 There were some fixes in this area.
If 2.49.1 also crashes please add the actual crash id here.
When I run "Check for updates on 2.48" it tells me that I am up to date. However, I have manually downloaded and installed 2.49.1 with no problems so far. I will leave this open for a couple of days to see if compacting causes any issues.

Still running 2.49.1 which is apparently the latest. No recurrances of the problem. Happy to close it off.
