Steps to reproduce:
From time to time, Sea Monkey offers to compact my folders. Usually when I am reading a Newsgroup. If I accept, it crashes Sea Monkey

Sea Monkey crashes
Expected results:
Folders should be compacted without a crash

It has just happened again twice. SM sent a report, the contents were:-

2.48 is outdated. Please try 2.49.1 There were some fixes in this area.

If 2.49.1 also crashes please add the actual crash id here.

When I run "Check for updates on 2.48" it tells me that I am up to date. However, I have manually downloaded and installed 2.49.1 with no problems so far.
I will leave this open for a couple of days to see if compacting causes any issues.

If you still see this, please post a crash ID, not the "crash details". Unfortunately crash details is worthless

Still running 2.49.1 which is apparently the latest. No recurrances of the problem. Happy to close it off.
