Upon Thuderbird update from 45.8 to 52.4 the thunderbird icon is horribly distorted in the Windows10 Start menu. It does not scale properly and looks hideous.
This is new with this update. All versions (at least up to 45.8) had normal thunderbird icons that played well with others in the windows 10 start menu. Now the 52.8 icon does not scale and ruins the appearance of the start menu.
Screen shot attached.
How do I get a normal icon back?
This is on win10 Ver. 1709 Build 16299.64

The icon isn't distorted but a bit big, yes.
This patch makes the icons a bit smaller to the size Firefox has (they are still bigger than from other programs which don't support the Windows 10 icons directly).
I have also used bigger image sizes like in FX bug 1283909 to scale better for HiDPI displays.

Comparison of the actual Daily icon (above) and the one with patch (below).

startMenuIcons.patch
I spot-checked a few of the images. Their sizes are now 126px or 270px and the net content is not occupying so much space any more, so it became proportionally smaller.
