User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 5.0.2; Mobile; rv:56.0) Gecko/56.0 Firefox/56.0 Build ID: 20170922214822 Steps to reproduce: I visited mozilla.org/firefox from Indonesia Actual results: It automatically directed me to en-US page (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/) Expected results: I think it should detected my location and automatically direct me and other visitors from Indonesia to ID page (https://www.mozilla.org/id/firefox/)

Setting Accept Languages to "id", I get correctly redirected to Indonesian, so I don't think this is a mozilla.org bug What's your Accept-Languages if you visit this page? http://www.reliply.org/tools/requestheaders.php
flod, I filled this bug because I think www.mozilla.org should detect and redirect visitors based on their current locations. So, do you mean it shouldn't?
I don't think location-based redirect would work for everyone, particularly those who are travelling often. The browser's preferred locale should be a clear intention (like Do Not Track) of which language do they want to use.

I didn't realize you were talking about location. No, personally I don't think that's the right approach, website should respect my language choice. The only place where that might make sense it's the download page, but as a message (you're downloading English but you're in Indonesia, there's also version X and Y), not as a redirect.

Alright then. Understood. So, it looks like not a bug. I'll close this one.
