User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0 Build ID: 20171116100106 Steps to reproduce: a) use a fresh install of 59.0a1 (2017-11-16) on linux from arch AUR (mentioning because branch 59 is not listed on the bug report site) (right after opening it the first time i was logged on however and some addons were loaded, also my bookmarks were available. It was as if i just opened the normal firefox) b) open a new tab c). Type one of these in the address bar: 1) a search term or 2) an address to visit d) press enter / click right arrow Actual results: Tab doesn't load the website. Title is still about:newtab. An (loading? ) animation is visible on that tab. I need to press enter once again in the address bar to actually load the website. After that, repeating steps c) and d) on that tab works as expected. Expected results: Website should have started to load in the moment i pressed enter /clicked the arrow the first time.
I have tested that steps in safe mode, it didn't show that behavior there. I then went to about:support and reset firefox. Odd behavior is gone now. I assume my profile was the issue here. I've posted too impulsively , my bad.
Closing then.
