Details
In the last several days I've noticed Fennec is sometimes unusable if you come back to it after it has been backgrounded. Rough STR:
1) Start Fennec, navigate to some page
2) Hit the home button or switch to another app
3) Some amount of time passes
4) Go back to Fennec and notice you cannot load pages

Jim, this started around the GeckoSession/View split, so can you take a look?

Tried in a Nexus 6P (8.0) but I was not able to reproduce this. The time spans that I used were 5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes. Should I leave it in the background for a longer amount of time?

I think possibly I was getting this because I had SurfaceTexture tiles turned on and it was hanging. I'm investigating further.
