User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0 Build ID: 20171112125346 Steps to reproduce: Go to the website www.be.ch. Save the website as bookmark. Actual results: The bookmark shows an empty icon. Expected results: The bookmark should show the same icon as in the tab. - The website www.be.ch shows an empty favicon after saving as bookmark. The problem is eventually an empty icon in the www.be.ch/favicon.ico file. The bug exists not in the 52.4.0 ESR version, MS-IE11 and SeaMonkey.

I suspect this is one of the bugs we fixed in Firefox 58, currently in beta. I tried reproducing it in Nightly, but I couldn't. If you'd like to try Firefox Beta, it may help. Otherwise, it will be officially released in January.
In Firefox 58.0b4 it works as it should.
