User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0 Build ID: 20171112125346 Steps to reproduce: Thunderbird 52.4.0 (32 bits) French OS: Windows-10 Professionnal French When reading an email, i got: "To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked the display of remote content in this message" so I click on the "Options" button et select the last option: "Allow remote content from "this email"". Actual results: As long as I stay in Thunderbird, all new emails from the same email address the display is not blocked. But if I leave thunderbird, reboot the PC then rerun thunderbird, then the display of the same email address is AGAIN blocked. Expected results: It should remember, sessions from sessions of thunderbird, to not blocked the display for those email address then I have explicitely choose to accept ! Before I was running Windows-7 Professionnal and thunderbird remember all those email address that I have allow the display. Sorry for my English.
Today I realize that this "bug" is caused by CCleaner (version 5.37.6309) and MY FAULT ! In CCleaner, I check those boxes: ThunderBird --> Site Preferences ! So all those email "allow remote content from this email" where GONE ! Sorry, you can close this case ! THANKS !

Thunderbird 52.7.0 linux 4.4.126-48-default x86_64 Since last week TB has been erasing on exit, or simply not saving, exceptions to blocking HTML email content (edit :: references :: privacy :: Mail Content), mainly images. I do not know what may have changed to cause this. I have gone to the Privacy page, opened Exceptions, selected Save Changes. All have disappeared on restart. I was referred to site <https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1205029>. The suggestion there made no difference. There is no system level malware program running here like CCleaner. Please re-open this report.
(In reply to Jim Moe from comment #2) > ... > Please re-open this report. Bugs which the reporter confirms is invalid or worksforme don't get reopened just because someone else comes along, unless a common cause is identified. His cause was ccleaner, and you don't have that - clearly a different issue

> Bugs which the reporter confirms is invalid or worksforme don't get reopened ... > Which is why I opened a new report #1462755. Which was then marked as a duplicate of another report #1436947.
